NAWANSHEHAR: The Neterdaan Sanstha Nawanshahr on Saturday received two pairs of eyes from the relatives of the donors.

Sanstha's secretary Charanjit Singh Bheen said in the first case, husband and son of 83 -year -old Shanta Devi of Boothgarh in Balachaur came forward to donate her eyes. In the second case, the eyes received were that of Avtar Singh, a loca, who had died in an accident at an unmanned railway crossing at Basiala, near here, last evening. In this case, it was the wife and the son of the deceased who contacted the activists of the Sanstha for donating eyes. The donated eyes were immediately sent to Punarjot Eye Bank in Ludhiana, added Bheen.
