CHANDIGARH: The Chandigarh Administration in another public friendly initiative has introduced submission of VAT returns at the Sampark Centers. This will reduce the legwork of the residents of UT.
The database of the registered functional dealers, has been updated with the help of information supplied by the dealers in Form VAT-1. However, it has been found that some names of the dealers are still not available in the database, resulting in inconvenience to these dealers in filing their returns at the Sampark Centres. A list of the registered live dealer has also been placed on the website of the Administration 'www.Chandigarh.gov.in' under the section "What's New". Presently, all the dealers whose name appears in the list of registered functional dealers can file their return at the Sampark Centre. In case, the name of any dealer is not in the list, they are requested to submit their returns along with Form VAT-1, duly filled at the nearest Sampark Centre, which will be received by the staff of the Department of Excise & Taxation. VAT-1 Forms are available at all Sampark Centre free of cost. The information which will be received in Form VAT-1 will help in updating the database, so that there is no inconvenience to the dealers. |
