Maharashtra Police officer lost official revolver, later recovered by police

AMRITSAR:  A Maharashtra cadre police officer, Assistant Police Commissioner (ACP) J.S. Lolkar who was here in the city for outing Thursday lost his bag containing his official 38 bore revolver with ten live cartridges.



ACP  reported the matter to the Police Station at Kotwali when he noticed that he lost his bag. However in the afternoon, people in the busiest locality at Hall Bazar noticed an unclaimed bag and the matter was immediately reported to the police.

When bag was opened, a revolver and ten live cartridges were found along with some other things which were reported in the ‘Lost Reprot’ lodged by the ACP in the morning.

After the verification, bag along with 38 bore revolver with ten live cartridges were handed over to the ACP, said police.
