Sukh, inderpal GrewalLUDHIANA: Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal, State Chief, BJP Investor Cell questioned the Character and Conviction of the Congress led UPA Government citing Prime Minister Speech on Independence Day.

Grewal asserted that UPA Government is understood to have gauged the mood of the poor farmer who was forcibly thrown out of his own land in the name of providing employment to their jobless kith and kin in the garb of Special Economic Zones. He asserted that Congress led Government is petrified of a shameful defeat in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections and is now desperately formulating a visionless Rehabilitation and Resettlement Policy to win over and fool the poor farmer again. “But the farmer had also understood the character and conviction of this Congress led UPA government in these last 4 years and is desperate to throw them out of power the same way he was from his land”, added Grewal. He questioned the intent of this Government and asked, “When will this biased Congress Regime think about Rehabilitation and Resettlement of over 4 Lac Kashmiri Pandits back to their homes who have been bearing the brunt of being Refuges in their own country?” He added that Prime Minister being Sikh should not have forgotten that our 9th Guru Sh. Teg Bahadurji had sacrificed his life for the very cause of Kashmiri Pandits and every Sikh expects him to do anything to see them back to their homes.

He said UPA Government policies in these last 4 years have been vested designs of Edvige Antonia Albina Maino, an Italian, re-christened as Sonia Gandhi. He asserted that she is just following a tradition of western world to divide on the name of caste, creed and religion and rule the country. Prime Minister’s yesterday announcement to further empower and appease Muslims is nothing more than western designs of divisive Politics, which Congress have now perfected in the leadership of their much Italian President. Grewal asserted that people of India are aware of secular credentials of the Congress Party as Sikhs haven’t forgotten 1984 Anti-Sikh Riots. He said Prime Minister being a Sikh should take lessons from 1984 Riots and shouldn’t become a vehicle for transmitting hate. He emphasized that the Congress led UPA Government is fully responsible for current unrest in Kashmir and these policies will only polarise the people of Jammu and Kashmir and will vitiate the volatile situation of the state. He said Government should frame policies for upliftment of all sections of society irrespective of caste, creed and religion.
