NRI to meet CM, DGP against high handedness of Fatehgarh Sahib police |

FATEHGARH SAHIB: On the complaint of an NRI Ginni Sandhu, who is married to Amandeep Sandhu of village Sanghol of district Fatehgarh Sahib, the Khamano police has registered a case against Kirti Parshad, his wife Rani, residents of village Sanghol under sections 447, 380 of the IPC for illegal possession of her house in Sanghol.
Speaking to media persons Ginni Sandhu in the presence of some panchyat members from Sanghol said Kirti and his wife had illegally occupied her house and after running from pillar to post, a case was registered against these persons but now the police is not arresting these person due to pressure from a senior retired police officer Sita Ram. She alleged that a police officer from Sanghol police station today ˜arrested" the couple and locked the house but later he locked the house. Now police is pressuring his family to hand over keys to the couple. She alleged that police had adopted a totally indifferent attitude towards her family and she along with her other family members had gone to meet some police officials today but they did not attend them properly all due to pressure of the retired office officer. She said she was working in Dubai and her husband is suffering from a disease and she could not stay India for long time. She apprehended that there is threat to her father in law to grab the property and if they had to face any type of the loss, police will be responsible for it. She said he will meet Punjab Chief Minister and DGP to lodge her complaint against the local police. F Fatehgarh Sahib SSP Dr Kaustabh Sharma was not available for comments but when contacted Sanghol chowi incharge he denied the NRI allegations. He said the police is acting as per law. |
