PSEB imposed penalty of Rs 29.52 lakh on a marriage palace Print E-mail

FATEHGARH SAHIB; Punjab State Electricity Board has imposed a penalty of Rs 29.52 lakh to a marriage place situated on Gobindgarh Road at village Salani in district Fatehgarh Sahib. 

Sources said after receiving secret information, a team of PSEB officials from Amloh detected power theft at the palace. Sources said that when the team conducted raid it found that around 10 ACs was running in the palace all through kundi connections and there was not even a  power meter in the palace and they was drawing power through kunndi connections. Sources said the team found 97.344 kilowatt load in the palace and them imposed penalty of Rs 29.52 lakh  .

Sources said initially the team wants to register a case at Amloh police station at village Salani falls under this police station but now the process has started to register case at PSEB police station at Patiala. When contacted a PSEB official at Patiala he said he has recently received a file of the case and case would be  registered at the earliest.
