SBI employees Society donates Rs.5 lakhs for Punjab CM's relief fund |

CHANDIGARH: In response to an appeal of the Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal to make liberal contributions towards the Chief Minister's Relief Fund to effectively combat the flood situation and extend all out help to the flood victims in the state, SBI Employees Cooperative Society, Jalalabad led by its chairman Mr. KG Sharma today presented a draft of Rs.5 lac to Mr. Badal towards the relief fund on behalf of SBI employees of the region.
PATIALA: (Gagandeep Ahuja)-On an appeal made by Amar Singh, General Secretary, Associate Banks Officers Association unit State Bank of Patiala, all the officers of State Bank of Patiala has decided to donate one day's salary to Prime Minister Relief Fund. Amar Singh stated that the grim flood situation in Bihar has been termed as "National Calamity" by the Prime Minister and both the Central and the State Government have announced financial aid. People are being evacuated to safer places and relief material is being air dropped. The efforts of the Government alone will not suffice by themselves and all Organizations have a duty to channelise their resources and donate generously in both cash and kind for our brethren in the Kosi region. He requested the members of Association to take all possible steps to help the victims of floods in Bihar. |
