PUNJAB: C-PYTE gives IT training to 8000 youth |

CHANDIGARH: The 26th meeting of Executive Board of the centre for training and employment of Punjab youth (C-PYTE) held here today under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary Punjab Mr. Ramesh Inder Singh. In the meeting approved the budget estimate of Rs. 5 crore for the financial year 2008-09 with a view to impart training to 8000 youth .
Disclosing this here Friday an official spokesman of the Punjab Government said that presently there are 9 major C-PYTE campus throughout the Punjab campus located at Theh Kanyla, Nabha, Ludhiana, Faridkot, Lalru, Kaljharani, Ranike, Dera Baba Nanak and Madhir to impart Pre-Selection Training to the youth for joining Army, Air Forces, central para military forces and Police. He further said that 8000 youth were enrolled and trained during the year 2007-08. Whereas the target was to take 7000 youth attended the technical/computer courses during the year 2007-08 in various ITIs of the state. Prominent among others who were present in the meeting included Principal Secretary Employment Generation Mr. N.S. Kang and Director General (C-PYTE) Mr. G.J. Singh and all the Divisional Commissioners of the state and the representatives of the various departments. |
