CHANDIGARH: Mohinder Singh Kay Pee President Punjab Pradesh Congress has congratulated the UPA Chairperson Smt. Sonia Gandhi, Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and  Foreign Minister Pranab Mukherjea for successfully getting the nod of Nuclear Suppliers Group for lifting ban on nuclear trade with India .

The historic decision of the Nuclear Suppliers Group has vindicated the stand of the Government of India and confirmed its sovereign foreign policy. Sh. Kay Pee added that expansion of peaceful nuclear programme for energy will provide ample power for the growing industry and farm sector in the country. The victory of stand taken by  Government of India is sufficient for silencing the citics of the deal including the Left Parties and the BJP who have been opposing the deal for their vested interests.
