CHANDIGARH: North India's one of the fastest growing healthcare centers with world-class medical facilities and country's first health mall, Ivy Hospital Mohali announced the induction of an extremely sophisticated and higher-end Cath Lab, first of it's kind in this region, and appointment of Dr. Narendra Vikramaditya as Director, Cardiac Sciences here on Saturday.
He is one of the three cardiologists in the country who are trained in laser angioplasty. Besides him other two Dr Mathew is working with Apollo hospital, Chennai and Dr P C Rattan in Apollo hospital, Delhi. Dr Vikramaditya said that laser angioplasty is not different from the other angioplasty but the only difference is that it helps in certain critical situations which are otherwise difficult to manage with the normal angioplasty and claimed that this technique is not available in the country right now but they will soon get it here. Dr N Vikramaditya avowed, "I hope to strengthen the vision of the Ivy Hospital in world class management of cardiac patients through outstanding cardiac intervention and cardiac surgery. Soon centre will be equipped with facilities of Laser Angioplasty. We will ensure to give due care to the poor cardiac patients." He also mentioned that after the age of 40 if anyone feels a pain in chest must visit his doctor and should go for ECG as this is the sign to some complicated disease. Dr Kanwaldeep Kaur, Medical Director, Ivy Hospital said, "The hospital will keep ready an ambulance equipped with advanced cardiac care for all the heart patients.
