AMBALA:  Ambala range police has claimed to have nabbed Dharmender alias Pinda one of the  accomplice of Bakhhish Singh, the master mind behind the attack on dera chief on February 2 this year when he was on the way to ‘dera Barwala’ in district Meerut after attending the CBI court at Ambala City.

The main accused Bakhhish Singh and Pinda were declared proclaimed offenders in this case where as Bakhhish is still at large.

Disclosing this on Sunday, IG , Ambala range K K Sindhu said that on a tip off the police raided at Hathnikund barrage near Yamunanagar last late night and nabbed Pinda from there.

Sindhu told that Pinda was a resident of village Ganganagar which falls in district Lakhmipur Kjeeri close to Nepal border. Pinda was produced in the court of duty magistrate, PR Sharma at Karnal which remanded him to police custody till September 15. It is to be mentioned that a FIR was registered against Bakhsish Singh and others after the bomb blast incident on the complaint of a dera follower Rajesh in police station Butana in district Karnal. The blast was carried out on the GT road near village Monak in Karnal.

IG, Ambala range told that considering sensitivity of the case, a special investigation team was constituted in which DSP Ambala Bhupinder Singh, DSP Karnal Surinder Singh and CIA Inspector Ambala Rajesh Kumar worked jointly in this regard. He told that on a tip off  that Dharmender alias Pinda was traveling from Uttar Pardesh to Punjab, police arrested him in Yamunanagar. He told that the police would haul out the information regarding recovery of the brand new car used in the bomb blast carrying registration number PB-11AP-7014, explosive used, mobile phone and weapons from the alleged accused during interogation. He assured that the main accused would also be in the police net very soon.

Earlier, police had arrested Mahender Singh, Swaran Singh, Jaswant Singh alias Jassa of district Jind,Hoshiar Singh of Mansa, Parveen alias Meena of district Mansa, Gurvinder alias Ghona of Patiala.
