AMRITSAR: Pakistani Smugglers fired gun shots from Pakistani side on Indian Border Security Force (BSF) last midnight when they were supplying contrabands to Indian smugglers. Incident occurred at village Rajatal near Attari border.
According to the BSF DIG Mohammed Aqeel, incident of firing by Pak smugglers took place last midnight when Pakistani smugglers successfully handed over the four packets of heroin containing 4 kilograms having worth of Rs. 4 crore as per the international market. He said that when BSF reached on the spot Pakistani smugglers started firing on Indian BSF from Pakistan in order to divert the attention of BSF to provide escape route to Indian smugglers who were possessing heroin. When BSF opened fire, Pakistani smugglers fled away and one Indian smuggler Sonu shot dead on Indian Territory and another one Partap was apprehended with four kilograms of heroin, four live bullets, a mobile set and one naked sword, added Aqeel. Both the alleged Indian smugglers were on Indian side, were hiding under the standing crops and catching the packets of heroin being thrown from Pakistani side, when BSF patrolling party reached on the spot, informed Aqeel. Aqeel said that smuggling of contraband came in light last mid night during routine patrolling when BSF noticed some human movements at Indo Pak zero line beyond the barbed fencing. |
