AMRITSAR: BJP General Secretary and incharge for Punjab Affair’s Balbir Punj here today announced that the demand of BJP for the deputy chief minister in Punjab stands no more.
Talking to the media persons here Sunday Punj stated that the demand for the post of deputy chief minister for BJP stood no more and now there was no dispute on this issue. Earlier, there were sharp differences between SAD-BJP alliances in Punjab as BJP was demanding the deputy chief ministership. Even many times, party state chief Professor Rajinder Bhandari had raised the issue of appointing a Deputy Chief Minister from BJP. Punj said that there were no differences between the Akali Dal - BJP and alliance would remain smooth in future. Both would aggressively contest the next parliament elections to defeat the Congress candidates, said Punj. |
