CHANDIGARH: The Punjab Government Monday appealed to the farmers to obtain the J-form from the Commission agents in support of their having sold their produce to the agents.
A spokesman of the State Government said that keeping in view of the likelihood of bonus being announced by the Union Government in response to the demand made by Sh. Adesh Partap Singh Kairon, Food and Supplies Minister, Punjab, on the purchase of paddy, they must obtain the J-Form in support of their having sold their produce to the Commission Agents and to ensure that their names were duly entered in the official Purchase Registers of the Food and Supplies Department and Punjab Mandi Board. He added that the department had made a similar appeal to the Commission Agents of the State to issue J-Form to the farmers so as to help the Punjab Government in disbursement of bonus in the eventuality of its being announced by the Centre. They were also requested to maintain a proper record of sale transactions of paddy during the current year. |
