CHANDIGARH: The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) would organise two days workshop on strengthening of environment education in Punjab on 11 and 12 September 2008 at 9.30 AM at PSEB guest house Mohali.

Stating this on Tuesday a spokesman of the Education Department Punjab said that the workshop would be attended by educationists from all over state. Dr D.S Dhillon, Chairman PSEB, would present his valedictory address and  Shruti Shukla Senior Scientific Officer PSEB would also present her paper and a presentation.

It is pertinent to mention here that environment education is a new subject which has been recently introduced in all the classes in school education under the directions of Supreme Court of India. Being a relatively new subject, teachers who were finding it difficult to teach were being updated in their knowledge by providing latest teaching methods and skills.
