NEW DELHI:  www.click2insure.in announced a free terrorism cover on June 28, 2008 in the aftermath of serial blasts in Jaipur, Bangalore and Ahmedabad. Since the introduction of the Free Terrorism Policy, 16000 applicants have already been provided the cover.

The website is offering free terrorism policy in association with general public sector insurer New India Assurance. Anyone who is 25 years of age or above can register themselves for this cover. One just needs to log on to the site www.click2insure..in, fill in the basic information required and the policy is delivered to the applicant’s mail box. The policy is on first come first basis and for the first one-lakh Indian applicants only.

www.click2insure.in is an Internet retail venture of Optima Insurance Brokers Pvt Ltd, a Delhi based Insurance Broking Company. which offers insurance in five segments - travel, home, health, auto and term life.

Rahul Aggarwal, CEO, Optima Insurance Brokers and www.click2insure.in says “Free terrorism cover by www.click2insure.in is a part of our Corporate Social Responsibility, especially after the Jaipur blast. We believe that as intermediaries in the insurance space, it is important for us to play a role in creating awareness about risk mitigation and the terrorism cover is one such offer.” Till now around 16,000 people from across the country have availed the free terrorism cover and the numbers are increasing daily.  “Tremendous response has been received just after the Ahmedabad blast. Infact, we are getting responses from places I have never even heard of”, adds Aggarwal.

With the increase in the acts of terrorism, it becomes vital for everyone to look closely at such covers. The holder of this policy is insured against the loss of life caused by or against the act of terrorism for Rs 1 Lakh for one year.

“www.click2insure.in approached us few months ago with the proposal and product framework. We created this special cover for the company for a year but after the overwhelming response from the people across the country, we are thinking of renewing it for the next year, against payment of premium” says B S Bagga, Senior Divisional Manager, New India Assurance.
