Hindu devotees throng temples on Navratras |

PHAGWARA: Thousands of hindu devotees thronged to different hindu shrines on first day of Navratras. Long queues of the devotees were seen before Shri Durga Mata Mandir,Chinn Mastika Mandir,Shri Hanuman Garrhi and Mata Mansa Devi Mandir Tuesday.
Several men and women began their week long fasts to pray from Durga Maa. several devotees from different parts of Punjab went to Sh Chintpurni Devi,Jawala Ji,Kangra Devi,Chamunda Devi and Naina Devi temples in Himachal Pardesh and Shri Vaishno Devi temple in Jammu and Kashmir.Tight Security arrangements were made by the police in view of heavy rush of the devotees in Devi's temples which were tastefully decorated. |
