CHANDIGARH: The  40th Haryana Police Games and Duty Meet 2008 will be organized at Police Complex Madhuban from October 5 to 8. 

While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Police Department said that Financial Commissioner and Principal Secretary, Home Department Mrs. Firoza Mehortra would inaugurate the meet on October 5 whereas Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Ahmadabad (Gujarat) would be chief guest at the closing ceremony and would give away the prizes to the winners.

He said that teams from all the seven sports Ranges of Haryana Police  will participate in the games and about 1000 sportsperson will take part in the events namely athletics (men and women), basketball, boxing, football, gymnastics, hockey, handball, judo, kabaddi (National), shooting, swimming, volleyball, wrestling, weightlifting (Men & Women), scientific methods of criminal investigation, anti sabotage check, police photography and videography, computer awareness and dog squad competitions.
