PHAGWARA:  Family members of former BSP Councillor Chhinder Pal, who committed suicide, alongwith his deadbody and hundreds of the activists belonging to Bahujan Samaj Party and Ambedeker Sena Punjab gheraoed main gate of Phagwara JCT mills, demonstrated against JCT Mills officers and blocked vehicular traffic on national high ways this evening

The dharna was led by BSP Punjab General Secretary M.P Singh Goraya, Ashok Sandhu and BSP Muslim Wing Incharge Gulzar Shah Sabri which started following the death of a former BSP Councillor Chhinder Paul who allegedly committed suicide by consuming celephas tablets at his native village Rajowal near Noormahal due to alleged mental depression caused by alleged excessive and inhuman attitude of mills authorities.

Addressing a protest rally before mill gate, BSP Leaders alleged that the deceased Chhinder Paul, who was working as officer in JCT Mill,was allegedly forced by mills authorities to resign and was being mistreated with caste based abuses and beat up mercilessly by mill officers.They held responsible mill general manager JC sodhi and another officer satish chadha for the humilitation of chhinder Paul.They alleged that chhinder pal was misbehaved badly whenever he went to JCT officers for his balance payment.The protesters blocked vehicular traffic by keeping the deadbody of the deceased in the middle of the highways.

On the other hand when contacted JCT mills General Manager JC Sodhi told HT that the deceased Chhinder Paul was being facilitated with several facilities including additional quarter and telephone etc, and moreover he had left the job on September 3 and vacate his quarter within one week .Sodhi told that he did not meet or saw Chhinder Paul for the last one month. On the other handBlockade was continued till 8PM.Protestors were demanding immediate arrest of the guilty mill officers and registeration of a case under SC/ST act against them.
