LUDHIANA: Senior BJP Leader and BJP Investor Cell Chief of Punjab  Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal appealed intelligentsia and media to refrain from branding entire Muslim and Sikh community as anti-Nation and Terrorists.

Grewal asserted that Terrorism doesn’t have a religion and such irresponsible remarks against entire Muslim and Sikh community are only facilitating Separatists, who are exploiting such statements to fuel hatred and communal tension. He added that alienation of Muslims would enable Separatism to bloom, as our evil neighbour will easily locate soft targets to carry on malicious and anti-National activities.

He further appealed that Media should desist from “Breaking News Culture” and “Investigative Journalism” and should take extra precaution while publishing provocative content. Referring to the reports of certain News Channels wherein “Shri Amarnath Shrine Board agitation” was colored as “Hindus against Muslims agitation”, Grewal added that due to such negligence Separatists took advantage and Jammu and Kashmir is still in flames and rhythm of peace process have derailed. Grewal also lashed out at a report of an English News Channel, which almost reported recent “Jamia Encounter” of Delhi Police as fabricated wherein Nation lost its most decorated Police Officer Mohan Chand Sharma. Grewal added that such reports can only discourage honest Police Officers to face terrorists eye to eye.

Intelligentsia should recall tenets central to construction of India such as National Integrity, Secularism and Brotherhood and should recall Nationalists such as Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam before branding whole community as Anti-National.
