CHANDIGARH:  Hosts Chandigarh claimed the overall trophy in the Rajiv Gandhi Memorial National Table Soccer Tournament which concluded at the DAV Model School in Sector 15 here Sunday.

The Chandigarh team mostly comprised students of Government Model School, Sector 19.Punjab were secured the runners-up position while Delhi were third.Arshad Mohammed of Chandigarh won the open singles title. Sheetal Negi and Jyoti Kaushik, both of Chandigarh, emerged winners in the girls under-19 and open girls singles categories.Chandigarh Mayor Pradeep Chabra distributed the prizes.

Results: Open singles: 1 Arshad Mohammed (Chandigarh),  2 Ajay Singh  (Punjab), 3 Jyoyi Kaushik (Chandigarh), 4 Devesh Singhal (Delhi).

Girls Under-19: 1 Sheetal Negi (Chandigarh), 2 Neelam (Rajasthan), 3 Parchi (Rajasthan), 4 Sonel (Rajasthan).

Open girls singles: 1 Jyoti Kaushik (Chandigarh), 2 Tarandeep Kaur (Punjab), 3 Karishna (Rajasthan), Vishal (Rajasthan).
