HS Grewal takes over as Chairman, Punjab Infotech

 



Grewal is the Co-Incharge, Haryana State BJP.  Several senior BJP ministers and leaders, including Avinash Rai Khanna, MP, Chaudhary Swarna Ram, Technical Education Minister, Master Mohan Lal, Transport Minister, Sukhpal Nano, Parliamentary Secretary , Parkash Manchanda,  Raj Khurana,  Satpal Saini along with a large number of supporters were present on the occasion.

Punjab Infotech is the nodal agency of the Punjab Government for promotion of IT & ITES in the State. Mohali has already developed as an important destination for IT Industry. There are more than 5000 persons working in IT Industry in different units in Mohali like Dell Computers, IDS Infotech, Sebiz Infotech, Smart Data Enterprises, Quark Media, Competent etc. Mohali has a notified Special Economic Zone promoted by Quarkcity India Private Limited. A number of other developers are setting up IT Parks and Special Economic Zones in Mohali. Promotion of  IT Industry at new locations like Kapurthala and Ropar is also in the offing. Punjab Infotech shall be developing IT Park on 50 acres of land in Kapurthala.

 Speaking on the occasion, Grewal said that it will be his endeavor to spearhead all the initiatives taken by the Corporation, lending his full support  and ensuring support of the Government for the promotion of Information Technology in the State. He said that the IT must benefit the common man, only then the State and the Country will benefit. Grewal extended his full support to S. Parkash Singh Badal, Chief Minister Punjab and Manoranjan Kalia, Industries & Commerce Minister, Punjab.
