PHAGWARA: In a major success, Phagwara Police on Friday solved the mystery of a blind murder, while a headless deadbody of a person was found from a well near village Uchapind on September 20 night.

In a press conference held her this afternoon,Phagwara DSP Harkamalpreet Singh Khakh told
newsmen that police has arrested two killers identified as Shiv Kumar Mahanto of village Harpur Koharr PS walia in Bihar and Vijay Kumar of the same village under section 302 IPC.

Narrating the details of the crime,DSP Khakh told that both the accused had confessed their crime of murder of another bihari migrant labourer Ganesh of the same village.

DSP told that one of the accused Shiv Kumar told before police that he had some doubts upon the mother of the deceased Ganesh  that she must be engaged in doing some jadu tona as He had no issue and after spending huge amount of more than Rs 1.5 lac,his wife delivered a son
who was mentally retarted. His doubts became more stronger upon the development  and he was more grudges with the father and mother of the deceased and wanted to took revenge from them. DSP said,ultimately he hatched a conspiracy with his other friend Vijay Kumar and called the deceased Ganesh to sit friendly on a cocktail.The deceased came to them and they took drinks together.Ganesh was forced to take more drinks and under the influence of liqour,both the accused murdered him with sharp-edged weapons, cut the head of the deadbody and threw the headless deadbody of the deceased in a well near village Uchapind.Several disclosures were expected from the killers and police will now recover the head of the deceased,DSP added.
