CHANDIGARH: Haryana Government has decided to grant accreditation to the media persons of daily newspaper serving at the block level for wider coverage of its welfare programmes and policies so that maximum number of people can take advantage of these welfare measures.
While stating this here today, the Media Advisor, Mr Sunder Pal said the decision to this effect was taken in the State Level Press Accreditation Committee held recently. He said that three media persons of block level had already been granted accreditation. He said that the decision to grant accreditation to the media person serving at block level had been taken following the promise made by Haryana Chief Minister during a function organized by a Journalists Association at Panipat to give accreditation to media persons serving at block level. Initially, one media person each from the daily newspapers would be granted accreditation at block level. The accreditation forms were being made available at the office of District Public Relations.
The Media Adviser said that to boost sports activities in the state, it had also been decided to give accreditation to one extra sports correspondent of daily newspapers at state headquarters in addition to three correspondents and two photographers.
