SHIMLA: With a view to strengthen the office of Advocate General, Himachal Pradesh with adequate manpower to represent the State Government in various Courts of Law more effectively, the Himachal Pradesh Cabinet in its meeting held here on Thursday sanctioned three posts of Assistant Advocate General and also upgraded a post of Law Officer to Assistant Advocate General so that all pending cases are expedited promptly.

Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister, presided over the meeting.

Cabinet consented to filling up of 8 posts of different non-teaching categories to strengthen the manpower in the Government Ayurvedic College and Hospital, Paprola in district Kangra.

It agreed to name the Community Health Centre, Tauni Devi in district Hamirpur after Dr. Lashkari Ram and it would henceforth be known as Dr. Lashkari Ram Community Health Centre, Tauni Devi.

It also approved Recruitment and Promotion Rules for the post of Director, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports, Manali.
