AMRITSAR: Special Narcotic Cell  (SNC) of Punjab police in a joint operation with BSF ( Indian Border Security Force) seized 14 Kilograms Heroin (drug) on a tip off at Khemkaran Sector.

Official of SNC said that seizure was made last evening, when SNC with BSF troops jointly launched search operation across the barbed fencing wire at Village Mehndipur on Indo-Pak border, recovered fourteen packets of heroin which were retrieved in the agriculture field.

SNC official said infact Pakistani smugglers arrived on Indian Territory during midnight, concealed the drug in the Indian agriculture field and went back to Pakistan so that their  Indian counterpart could retrieve it when come to work in the filed but before it happened it was captured by the SNC.

It may be mentioned here on border villages of India and Pakistan both the farmers have adjoining agriculture filed, as any one could move each others filed but usually it never happens, since Indian farmers work in the field under the strict surveillance of BSF which remained present in the filed throughout the day unless farmers finished their work by sun set and go back. During night BSF come back from the fields at their respective tall height towers where they keep eye on Pakistan side to the keep infiltrator away from Indian soil, but inspite of all that Pakistani smugglers succeeded to infiltrate to carry out their nefarious designs on Indian Territory.
