Sant Rama Nand killed in Vienna to be cremated in Punjab

CHANDIGARH: Punjab Government has requested Indian government to help in bringing the dead body of Sant Rama Nand killed in Vienna attack to Sach Khand dera headquarter in Ballan near Jalandhar. The dera wanted to cremate the departed leader at dera ground.



Sant Surinder Dass a religious leader of dera Sach Khand Ballan said Tuesday that the devotees of the dera were trying to bring the dead body of Sant Rama Nand to Jalandhar.

He said that he was not in a position to tell when the body of the slain Sant would reach Jalandhar as he had neither been informed by the India government nor by the Austria based Indian Embassy or the Austria government. He appealed to the people and especially those indulged in violence to cool down as the sect did not preach violence and had no place for the persons violating the preaches of the  sect which respects all religions and humanity.

The reports from Vienna said that Sant Niranjan Dass, the master parcharak of Sant Sarvan Dass Dera Sachkhand sect fine and recoupertaing in a Vienna hospital. This was stated by the head of the sect Sant Surinder Dass Bawa. Talking to the media men at the dera on Tuesday, Sant Surinder Dass said that he enquired about the health of Sant Niranjan Dass. He is fine and recovering. He said that the Vienna police had begun investigations in to the incident of fatal attack on the two Sants of the dera in which Sant Rama Nand was killed and Sant Niranjan Dass was injured seriously.
