PATIALA: Union Minister for state of Ministry of External Affairs, Preneet Kaur on Sunday said that filling a charge sheet against five 26/11 prime accused suspects by Pakistan Government was a positive step towards Confidence Building Measures(CBM) between both the countries.

Talking to Punjab Newsline Network, Preneet Kaur said that Pakistan has moved ahead to start talks with India.

She said Prime Minster Manmohan Singh’s talks with Pakistan depends on the action taken by Pakistan against 26/11 accused.

Pakistan has filled charge sheet against Lashkar's operation chief Zakir-ur-Rehman Lakhvi and Jamaat-ud-Dawaa (JuD) chief Hafiz Mohammad Saeed.

The hearing into the case would begin on July 25 in the special anti-terror court that has been set-up in the Adiala jail for the purpose.

She said that it was the first time that Islamabad has admitted the use of its soil and given documentary proof of Pakistani terrorists being involved in the 26/11 carnage.
