PATIALA: The unemployed B.Ed teachers’ front Sunday held a protest March up to the residence of Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh here and threatened to intensify its ongoing agitation if state government failed to accept its demands. The front had also urged the other like minded organizations to extend their support to them.

 

This was stated here Sunday by Sukhdarshan Singh Bathinda president of the Front while talking to the media persons after addressing the protest rally-cum-dharna organized by the front.

Earlier the members of front  assembled at the Vir Haqeekat Rai grounds at the Rajpura colony near the main bus stand here and organized a protest rally there. 

The police had made adequate security arrangements on this occasion to avoid any untoward incident especially the women cops were deployed in view of the women participation of the march.

While addressing the dharna all the leaders of the front Sukhdarshan Singh Bathinda, Jagmail Singh, Hira Singh Amritsar and the state secretary Lachman Sahota criticized the state government for its inaction towards their demands and lashing against the state government also urged it to accept its demands as early as possible and threatened to work against the interests of the ruling congress party during the ensuing assembly elections in case it failed to accept the demands put forwarded by the front.
