CHANDIGARH: Hosts St Kabir Public School, Sector 26 will meet St Xavier’s School, Sector 44-C in the final of the ICSE Chandigarh Region Basketball Tournament for girls on Tuesday  at 10 a.m at the St Kabir School courts.Both teams were finalists in the last edition.

St Kabir defeated Little Flower Convent of Panchkula by 34-19. Rupandeep and Shreya were the winners’ main contributors with 14 and 9 points, respectively.

St Xavier’s School outpointed St Xavier’s School of Panchkula by 16-9.

Founder Director of St Kabir Mr. J.P Singh inaugurated the tournament in which St Stephen’s School, St Xaviers’ Panchkula, St Xavier’s Chandigarh, Saupin’s  School Panchkula, Little Flower Convent Panchkula and St Kabir are taking part in the two-day tournament.

St Kabir and Xavier’s were given bye in the first round.
Other results: Xavier’s Pkl bt Saupin’s 18-5 and Little Flower Pkl bt St Stephen’s 21-5.
 
Meanwhile,  New Public School-18,  Sacret Heart, Carmel Convent, St Anne’s, Xavier’s of Chandigarh and Panchkula,, St Joseph, Little Flower Panchkula,  DPS Pinjore, Saupin’s Panchkula and hosts St Kabir are taking part in the Annual  Kabir Trophy Basektball Tournament which begins tomorrow.

Little Flower Convent will meet St Joseph’s at 9 a.m. in the opening match.
