Bhavdeep of KB DAV-7 to get National Child Award on Nov 14 Print E-mail

Bhavdeep SinghCHANDIGARH: Bhavdeep Singh Sachdeva studying in class 10 at the KB DAV Senior Secondary Public School, Sector 7, Chandigarh will be given prestigious National Child Award for his commendable performance in roller skating at the national and international level.

Madhu Bahl, Principal, KB DAV Senior Secondary Public School, Sector 7-B, Chandigarh said, “Bhavdeep is exceptionally brilliant student, excellent at studies and has brought laurels for the school in skating both at national and international levels. Second time in succession in last 3 months, Bhavdeep Singh shall be getting this prestigious award for his exceptional achievement in the field of skating.”

The National Award shall be conferred on him on November 14th, 2009 on the occasion of Children’s Day at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, which shall carry a cash prize of Rs 10,000/-, a silver medal, a certificate and a citation. The award shall be presented to him at the august hands of Smt. Krishna Tirath, Minister of State for Women & Child Development.

Bhavdeep received a State Honour by UT Administration on August 15th, 2009 by Gen S F Rodrigues. In September 2009 Bhavdeep was away to Italy to participate in 4th Junior Boys World Roller Hockey Championship held at Bassano Del Grappa, Italy from 26th Sep to 3rd October, 2009.
