JAMMU: Director General of Border security Force (BSF)  on Tuesday said that there will be surge in the infiltration bids from across the International Border (IB) with Pakistan and along the line of control in Jammu an Kashmir  before the snow closes the mountain passes.

"We have inputs from different sources about the presence of large groups of militants  waiting to infiltrate inside the Indian territory from along the line of control and the International border with Pakistan", DG BSF Raman Srivastava said after paying homage to Deputy Inspector General OP Tanwar here at BSF Jammu frontier in Paloura camp.

"The entire International border with Pakistan and the line of control is alerted, BSF officer said adding,"we are on the job and an appropriate action will be taken to prevent fresh infiltration"

Remembering his junior officer DG BSF said, "We have lost one of the finest and brave officers adding such incidents would not be repeated in future.

"For the first time the group of infiltrators after crossing the International border managed to come close and planted a powerful pressure IED inside the Indian Territory," DG BSF said ahead of his visit to the border area.

Taking strong note of the role of Pakistani rangers behind supporting infiltration bids from across the International border, DG BSF said, “after the powerful explosion along the border killed senior BSF officer we lodged a strong protest at the sector commander level with the Pak rangers on Monday evening.

"We have taken a very strong note of it and i am sure Government of India would also lodge a strong protest at the ministry level with their neigbours", DG BSF told reporters.

He, however, added that during the sector commander level talks the Pak rangers denied having any knowledge of the infiltration bid mounted from their side.

"It is nothing new the Pakistan always denies its role and this time also they have denied such reports", he added.
