ZIRAKPUR: In a bid to provide maximum placement opportunities and job prospects to the job aspirants of North India ,Sri Sukhmani Institute Of Engineering and Technology ,Dera Bassi (SSIET ) is all set to organize a ‘Mega job fair ’ on 28th and 29th ,Nov-2009.

The job fest is one of the biggest job fests in the region. The Mega fest has been scheduled at the wi-fi campus of the college. The Fair has already drawn an overwhelming response from a number of candidates from various colleges of PTU. The Placement  Fair is open for all the Streams of Engineering ,Medical ,Science, Arts and Hospitality. Btech (All Branches),MBA ,MCA ,BCA ,B.Sc (IT) and all graduates .

The college recruitment cell has already invited top and leading companies for placement. During his candid placement announcements, Mr. Loveleen, Placement officer ,explained about the life of an Engineer, the professionalism in Industry and Career advancements in companies. Prestigious companies like Wipro, Trident,Google, Hero ,Collebera Tata, Bharti Airtel, Maruti ,Zephyr ,EA Sports,etc have been invited for placements excluding the training.The companies have been selected to ensure placements without BPO based placement.

He also informed that the students of Sri Sukhmani Group are already placed in top and reputed companies in India and abroad. The ‘Placed Alumni’ is proud representatives of the Institute .

Prof. Avtar Singh, Chairman briefly stated “we at Sri Sukhmani have been inviting companies for placements during campus interview. Traits like team spirit, corporation and leadership are reinforced in our students.” Director Mrs.Kanwaljit Kaur  specially complemented  the teachers and mentors in preparing and guiding the students   by giving them requisite inputs  to face placements and recruitments..

Principal Dr. G.N. Verma informed that with diligent effort of ‘SSGI’ Dera Bassi township has already become a hub of all professional activities and with such initiatives of Mega job fest the youth and budding engineers of North India will benefit on a large scale . At Sri Sukhmani companies are helped to manage employment at the same time ensure that the potential candidates get a wide spectrum & platform for diversified industry need.

The Punjab Govt. has taken initiatives to improve the employment scenario in the state and has been encouraging reputed firms to hire professionals from the region.
