LUDHIANA: Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur is going to orgnise a four day Fest from 28th January to 31st January 2010 in Ludhiana, IIT Kharagpur organizes Kshitij, has now become the largest techno-management symposium in the whole of Asia.

Disclosing this here on Friday, Harshit Madan Core team member of Kshitij said that, with each passing year, the fest has shown that the combination of technology and management is the future of development.

Year after year, organizers have made a sincere effort to provide a platform for deserving students from across the country to exhibit their scientific dexterity and managerial acumen via the array of events organized which continue to be the mainstay of the fest.

To promote the core disciplines of engineering, KSHITIJ has joined hands with globally reputed and acknowledged associations including ACM, ASHRAE, ASME and IMechE. These associations, by providing their prestigious certifications for the events of Kshitij, shall give international recognition to the outstanding entries in the various categories.

The fest boasts of prizes worth over forty five lacs and its association with corporate giants like GE, Adobe, TATA and many more. The last date of submission events is on 13th December.

While the competitions at Kshitij prove to be the ultimate test of grit, knowledge and skill, the guest lectures and workshops provide an enriching experience for the avid learners.  The fest has been graced by the presence of such luminaries who are looked up to for their distinguished contribution in their respective fields.

Earlier editions of Kshitij has had illustrious guest lectures by Nobel laureates like Dr. Klaus von Klitzing and Dr. Paul Crutzen, first Indian cosmonaut in space Rakesh Sharma, co-founder of Wikipedia Jimmy Donal Wales, founder of GNU Dr. Richard Stallman , the Ad-Guru Prahlad Kakkar and other such stalwarts.

Kshitij organizes a plethora of workshops relating both to the technology and managerial fields for students to meet and learn from the experts themselves.
