GPS students to represent PU in national youth camp at Kanyakumari

FATEHGARH SAHIB: Twenty students of Gobindgarh Public College(GPC), Alour will represent Panjab University, Chandigarh in national youth camp at Vivekananda Puram, Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari from December 28  to  December 31, 2009.



The college principal informed that  Prof. Amit Narula, Prof. Varinder Kumar, Prof. Baljeet Kaur and Prof. Sarbjit Kaur will accompany 11 boys and 9 girls of the college.

Prof. Amit Narula said that the camp is a confluence of various cultures and languages in which more than 160 students of 14 states of India will participate.

He said the theme of the Camp is “Organize for India”.  The campers will participate in activities like presentation of research papers on topics like ‘Vision India-2020’, ‘India and World’, ‘Sustainable future’ etc. Campers will also participate in Workshops and Panel Discussions on Leadership, Life Skills, Communication and positive thinking. 

He said that the campers will attend a cultural exchange programme from January 1 to January 3, 2010 at Madras University, Chennai.
 
Piara Singh Kalsi, President, GESWT,  N.K. Khanna, Secretary, GESWT and Vimal Vinod Bansal, chairman congratulated the students and staff members of the achievement.
