McDonald’s India to open more restaurants cum drive thru in Punjab

PATIALA: McDonald’s India will open more restaurants cum drive thru in Punjab as state has great potential in food industry.
Vikram Bakshi, Managing Director, McDonald’s India (North & East) said, “Punjab has been one of the biggest markets for McDonald’s in India. It is natural for us to strengthen our presence in the state”.
Bakshi was talking to newspersons after the inaugurating new restaurant at Omaxe Mall, situated opposite Kali Mata Mandir on Mall road.
McDonald’s has 10 outlets including 4 drive thru in Punjab, he said.
“It is a proud moment for us as we open our new restaurant in Patiala. This region is experiencing rapid economic growth and accelerated retail expansion. We wanted to be present here for our consumers and provide them with a great and exciting McDonald’s experience.”
McDonald’s, Besides two outlets in Chandigarh, Ludhiana has two, Jalandhar and Amritsar have one each. Doraha, Patarsi(near Rajpura) & Dasuya have High and Drive-Thru outlets.
He added that the new Patiala outlet not only has the elaborate use of brand specific colours and lightening, but has a unique zoned seating arrangement as well. The different table designs and multiple seating styles in the store will offer a relaxed yet unique ambience to the Patiala customers.
An amphitheatre allowing larger group seating and a designated party area makes the restaurant a complete hangout zone for all.
Designed with the new state-of-the-art technology driven MFY (Made for You) food preparation platform, the restaurant is spread across 2800 square feet with a seating capacity for 138 people. MFY is a unique concept where the food is prepared as the customer places its order, yet served very quickly. McDonald’s has accentuated it’s commitment of food safety and hygiene with this innovative food preparation platform.
Customers at the new Patiala restaurant can enjoy a wide range of burgers, fries, wraps with an assortment of sundaes, soft serve and refreshing beverages like iced tea & cold coffee, at prices starting from Rs. 12/-. A delightful range of shakes will also be served at this newly launched outlet. In addition, the customers can also savor the all time favourite of children, the ‘Happy Meal’ in an attractive box holding the burger, fries and a toy, which are simply irresistible for all age groups. The pricing of these mouth-watering food items is tax exclusive.
