AMRITSAR: Following minor dispute with parents, Pakistani teenager boy Atiq Ahmed (11) student of seventh standard resident of Lahore, boarded in the Samjhauta Express Train which put him to Indian Territory here Monday.
According to GRP (Government Railway Police), during soft preliminary session of interrogation, Atiq stated that today morning, following minor dispute with parents he went to railway station at Lahore in Pakistan and boarded in the train. Atiq informed that he did not know that this train was going across the border to India as things came in light when he arrived here.
Atiq further revealed that nobody at Lahore Railway Station asked him about passport or visa when he boarded in the train till reached India.
Atiq was first noticed by the Indian Custom Authority at Attari international Railway Station; whereupon it was found the he had crossed over to India without passport and visa or any legitimate travel document.
After being apprehended by the Custom Department, Atiq was handed over to GRP which arrested him under section 3-34-20 Indian Passport Act and 14-Foreign Act in the evening.
