Pacers bowl Sirsa to 33-run win

SIRSA: Hosts Sirsa registered a facile 33-runs verdict against Ballia in a group B match of the T-10 Gully Cricket ‘Ab Har Koi Khelega’ Season-2 at the floodlit Jan Nayak Chaudhary Devi Lal National Cricket Floodlit Stadium here tonight.



Set to score 85 for win, Ballia could just manage to score 52 for 7 in stipulated 10 overs. Sirsa rRight arm medium pacer Manoj and left arm medium pacer Pawan captured two wickets each for 5 and 14 runs, respectively. Non of the Ballia batsmen could reach a double figure mark. Kunwar Vipin Pratap was their top scorer with six.

Earlier, Sirsa won the toss and elected to bat and made 85 for 5 in allotted 10 overs. They suffered two quick blows as openers Haqeet Singh and Vikas Lamba returned to the pavilion at an identical individual score of 2.

Sunny Singh (16) and Khem Chandra (21 not out, 3x4s) repaired the damage by contributing 30 runs for the third wicket. Then Randeep Nain (21, 2x4s, 1x6) and Khem Chandra realized 28 runs for the fourth wicket stand.

Manan Mohan (1 for 4), Hemsatu (1 fofr 16) and Raghvindra (1 for 12) were the most successful bowlers for Ballia.
