PATIALA: Surjit Singh Rakhra of SAD(B) has lost from Samana in Patiala district. He was defeated by Congress candidate Brahm Mohindra by 2586 votes. In Nangal Madan Mohan Mittal of BJP lost to Congress candiate K.P.S. Rama. Gurchet Singh Bhullar of Congress lost to Virsa Singh Valtoha in Valtoha seat.
Many senior SAD leaders have lost the election. They included Gurdev Singh Badal, Balwinder Singh Bhundar, Prem Singh Chandumajra, Sucha Singh Sekhwan, Satwant Kaur Sandhu and Tota Singh. |
