Parkash Singh Badal with Sukhbir BadalCHANDIGARH: After landslide victory in the general elections to the Punjab Assembly, the Shiromani Akali Dal President Parkash Singh Badal has convened an urgent meeting of newly elected  M.L.A.s of Shiromani Akali Dal-BJP combine in Chandigarh tomorrow i.e. February 28.

According to party's Secretary Daljit Singh Cheema, Secretary, this meeting will be at 12.00 Noon at Punjab Bhawan, Sector 3, Chandigarh. The meeting will be presided over by Badal.

Meanwhile, BadalTuesday thanked the people of Punjab for giving mandate to SAD-BJP alliance. He said that it was victory of democracy.
In a statement here he said that he was happy that people have reposed faith in SAD-BJP alliance. He saids that it has proved that people couldn't be misled with false promises and tall claims.

Badal also complimented Election Commission of India for conducting free and fair poll. He appreciated the role of print and electronic media. He siad that his government would fulfill all the promsies made with the people of Punjab.

Sukhbir Singh Badal SAD sgeneral secretary said that people had voted out a dictator. He said that Congress government was neck deep in corruption.
