Tohra's wife refuses to accept facilities offered by SGPC |

PATIALA: Joginder Kaur Tohra, wife of former president of Shiromani Gurdawara Parbhandak Committee (SGPC) late Gurcharan Singh Tohra, Saturday refused to accept facilities incliding a car given to her by SGPC.
The SGPC executive committee on Friday passed resolution to given car, driver and two personal women attendants to Tohra's wife. She had also not attended death anniversary function of Tohra organised by SAD government led by Parkash Singh Badal. In a written statement issued here by Tohra said that she was grateful to the SGPC president Avatar Singh Makkar from granting her facilities as she did not need these things. Tohra said that her husband Gurcharan Singh Tohra did not enjoy any facility in his 26 years tenure of president ship of SGPC, he had neither taken car nor claimed any TA/DA from SGPC, said Joginder Kaur. She said that if SGPC really wanted to serve her they should utilise money to be spent on her in shape of Car for the betterment of Sikh panth. She said that the money should be spent on educational institutions being run by SGPC. |
