Punjab Housfed Chairman refuses to resign |

FATEHGARH SAHIB: Senior Congress leader and Chairman of Housefed Krishen Kumar Bawa said that he would not resign from his post though some congress leaders have resigned from their coveted for the change of government in the state.
Talking to media persons at Sirhind on Wednesday Bawa said that his election was held in democratic way and he would complete his remaining three year tenure. He said that present Akali government is not interfering in his work and he is also cooperating with government as per his duty. On the allegations of misuse of his position by holding Housefed meeting on a hill station in Himachal Pardesh, Bawa said that he held meeting after getting approval from the government. He said that he is running his office as per law. On allegations of hiring his accommodation at high rate at Chandigarh, Bawa said that if Chairman of other boards and corporations can hire accommodation in Chandigarh what he committed wrong by hiring accommodation there. He said that someone in his department are leveling baseless allegations against him in media. He claimed that he always works honestly and if anyone proves corruption in any of his dealing he will leave politics. |
