CHANDIGARH: Keeping in view to provide better transport facilities to the people of the state, Punjab Government would soon add 50 more new buses in "Punjab Gaurav" series of PRTC. This was stated here Thursday by Master Mohan Lal, Transport Minister Punjab after releasing the Joint Time Table of bus timing prepared by PRTC.
While giving the detail the Transport Minister said that under this scheme 43 buses had already been added in the fleet recently. He said that to facilitate the public, PRTC had prepared a Joint Time Table of bus timings of PRTC as well as private operators, for all routes, with this new time table which would be displayed on all bus stands of PRTC, would help the Public as an efficient tool to plan their Journey in a hassle free manner well in advance, he added. Speaking on the occasion D.S.Jaspal, Principal Secretary cum Chairman PRTC appreciated the efforts of PRTC for prepared this new time table. He said that this new time table would be very helpful for the passengers and would be made available at all bus stands and other public places for the convenience of the people in the State. Shivdular Singh Dhillon M.D. PRTC said that Pepsu Road Transport Corporation (PRTC) had always remained dedicated towards providing efficient, economical and well co-ordinated transport services to the Public. Giving more details about new time table, Dhillon said that the new time table was also contained the detailed information about concession being provided by PRTC to the various categories of commuters, important telephone numbers of the department & bus stand enquiry counters as well as the fare structure. This time table would also be provided at book stales at bus stands on a nominal cost of Rs. 25/-, he added. R.S . Bal , G.M. Computerization PRTC and other officers of the PRTC were also present on the occasion. |
