AMRITSAR: Deputy Parliament Speaker Charanjit Singh  Atwal along with family members and family friends including eighteen people crossed over to Pakistan through the land route of Indo-Pak Wagah border here Monday.

Sources at Wagah border informed that Atwal during his visit in Pakistan would pay obeisance at various Sikh shrines along with his family members and family friends.

Sources said that Pakistan is the birthplace of Atwal and during his visit probably he may visit at Sahiwal in Pakistan where he was born in 1937 before partition.
