CHANDIGARH: The Haryana Government has approved the Draft Plan of the industrial town Bawal of district Rewari with a projected population of 1.50 lakh persons for the prospective year 2021 so that the town could be developed in a planned manner.
While stating this here Tuesday, a spokesman of the Town and Country Planning said that the Draft Plan had been approved in the meeting of the State Level Committee of the Department. This was the first Development Plan for Bawal Controlled area since the declaration of the Controlled areas. The Plan had been prepared under section 5(4) of the Punjab Scheduled Roads and Controlled Area Restriction of Unregulated Development Act, 1963, he added. He said that since IMT was proposed to be developed by HSIIDC in this area, the Development Plan was predominantly industrial and maximum area was provided for industrial zone. As per the Plan, approximate land use for industrial sector would be over 1880 hectares, for residential 761 hectares, for transport and communication over 390 hectares, for public and semi-public 126 hectares, for public utility about 96 hectares and for open spaces 150 hectares subject to minor amendments as approved by the State Level Committee, he added. He said that six sectors complete and three part sectors had been reserved for residential use with net residential density of 200 persons per hectare. Provision of sufficient number of restaurants, hotels, transient boarding houses including public assistance institutions such as dharmshalas and tourist homes had also been made for the convenience of the public visiting the industrial town. The open spaces would be developed as sports grounds, stadium, play grounds, parks and other recreational uses, he added. |
