CHANDIGARH: Acting President of Shiromani Akali Dal S. Sukhbir Singh Badal today expressed great shock at the tragic death of Mr. Sahib Singh Verma, former Union Labour Minister and former Chief Minister, New Delhi.

He said that in his death the country has lost a votary of farmers and working class. The SAD President said that his death was a great loss for under privileged sections of the society for whose cause he fought throughout his life.

Badal said that during his brief stint as in-charge of Punjab affairs of BJP, Verma won the hearts of everyone by his humbleness and down to earth approach.

Sukhbir Singh Badal expressed heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family and prayed to God to give peace to the departed soul and strength to family to bear this irreparable loss.
