One killed four injured in Punjab road mishap Print E-mail

FATEHGARH SAHIB: One person was killed while four others injured in a mishap when a Mohindra jeep rammed into a truck near Sadhugarh village of Sirhind on Wednesday.  

According to information received, Gulzar Singh, a head constable with the NCC battalion 25, who was posted at Uttar Pradesh and had died recently of a heart attack  and his body was taken back at his native village  Mukerian Kalan near Pathankot but their jeep rammed into truck from the rare side this afternoon . As per reports, the driver of the jeep lost control of the vehicle and hit the truck. 

The deceased was identified as Arshad, a resident of Mukerian Kalan village near Pathankot , while the injured Mohammad Sakoor, who was driving the vehicle  at the time of mishap and was a resident of Shajahanpur in UP.  Subedar Karam Singh and his wife Rajinder Kaur of Jalandhar along with Diwan Singh of Makrana sustained serious injuries and were admitted to Civil Hospital, Fatehgarh Sahib.  Police have registered a case against Mohammad Sakoor for negligent driving.
