Punjab Patwar union submits memo to FM's OSD Print E-mail

NAWANSHEHAR: The state committee of the Revenue Patwar Union, Punjab here Sunday presented a memorandum of their long pending demands to Charanjit Singh Brar, OSD to the state finance minister Manpreet Singh Badal.

 

The committee was represented by state general secretary Gurnek Singh Sher, Charanjit Singh Saini, Charan Dass and Harbhajan Singh Jadli. According to Sher, their main demands included issuing of notification declaring the posts of patwaris and kanugos as technical posts, granting them a pay scale of Rs 5480-8925 with effect from 01.01.96, constructing Central Patwar khanas across the state, granting them stationary and traveling allowances, forming a separate directorate for the revenue department, waiving of the condition of  refresher courses while granting them ACPs and an early filling of their vacant posts.

The OSD assured the deputation of taking up their demands with the state government, said Sher who revealed that the Union would celebrate the Golden Jubilee of their historic strike on December 12, 1957 by organizing a function at Dana Mandi, Ludhiana on December 12 this year.
