CHANDIGARH: The Entrance Test for admission in Rashtriya Indian Military College,(RIMC) Dehradun for July-2008 term would be conducted on December 1 & 2, 2007 here at Lala Lajpat Rai Bhawan.

Disclosing this here Tuesday, a spokesman of the Directorate of Sainik Welfare, Punjab said that only those boys were eligible for this entrance test who were born between July 1, 1995 and Jan 1, 1997 . They should either be studying in class VII or passed this class from any recognised school at the time of admission to the RIMC i.e. July 1, 2008 and they would be given admission in class VIII. The Written part of the test would consist of English, Mathematics and General knowledge. He further said that only successful candidates of the written test would be called for viva-voce test to be held on April 4, 2008.

 The spokesman further added that copies of the application forms, prospectus and set of old question papers could be obtained on payment of Rs. 250/- through a demand draft in favour of Commandant RIMC Dehradun payable at SBI Tel Bhawan (Code No. 1576), Dehradun.

Applications in duplicate in prescribed form alongwith a Bank draft of Rs. 50 in case of General Category and Rs. 5 in case of SC & ST Category in favour of Commandant RIMC Dehradun payable at SBI Tel Bhawan (Code No. 1576, Dehradun and three attested passport size photographs of the Candidate and a birth certificate must be submitted to Directorate Sainik Welfare, Punjab, Sainik Bhawan, Sector 21-D, Chandigarh on or before 29.9.2007, he added.
