CHANDIGARH: The District Magistrate, Chandigarh, R.K. Rao has directed the landlords, owners or managers of commercial establishments not to rent out any accommodation to any person without furnishing the particulars of the tenants to the concerned Station House Officer.
In an order issued here, District Magistrate said that antecedents of the said tenants should be verified in the pubic interest. The persons who intend to offer accommodation on rent should inform in writing the particulars of the tenants to the Station House Officer concerned in whose jurisdiction the premises fall. Such a decision has been taken in public interest to protect breach of peace and disturbance of public tranquility. These orders would be effective for a period of 60 days from July 19 to September 16. |
